Similar to adjusted operating income (loss), the Company believes that adjusted operating margin is a useful ûnancial measure to both the Company and investors for evaluating its operating performance and that it facilitates period to period comparisons of the Company's results of operations as the items excluded generally are not a function of the Company's operating performance. Total Platform Portfolio - The Company deûnes total platform portfolio as the unpaid principal balance outstanding of all loans facilitated through its platform as of the balance sheet date, including loans held for investment, loans held for sale, and loans owned by third-parties. The Company believes that total platform portfolio is a useful ûnancial measure to both the Company and investors in assessing the scale of funding requirements for the Company's network.
